Trading books and store credit
The primary rule of thumb for is 20 percent of the retail price of the book will be given in credit. This is for books that we want. If I already have a copy of something generally I will not want a second copy of it. Other market factors will also be taken into account as well as the conditon of the book. Store credit that is given can only be used for used books.
To use store credit you can use your store credit for up to half of the purchase price of the used book portion of the sale. For example if you buy a $3 book you can use up to $1.50 of credit towards the purchase, the other is from cash, check or credit card. The taking in of books in trade is done selectively and there is no guarantee that your books will be taken in trade.
